BGP/4/ROUTPRIX_EXCEED:Routes received from peer [neighbor-address] including the number of prefix [receive-prefix-number] exceeded the max number of prefix [max-prefix-number]. (BgpAddressFamily=[STRING])

Description

The number of prefixes received from a peer exceeded the maximum value.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[neighbor-address] Indicates the IP address of a neighboring router.
[receive-prefix-number] Indicates the number of prefixes received from the neighboring router.
[max-prefix-number] Indicates the maximum number of IP prefixes.
BgpAddressFamily Indicates the flag of a BGP address family. The flags are divided into public flags and VPN flags.

Possible Causes

The number of routes received from a peer exceeded the maximum value.

Procedure

  1. Check the topology and the configuration of the network, and check whether excessive routes are caused by the requirements of actual applications or incorrect topology configuration.
  2. If excessive routes are caused by the requirements of actual applications, modify the configuration of the peer route-limit command.
