Impact on the System

In standard SSM mode, the local interface failed to obtain the SSM quality level of the peer interface, and the clock status of the local interface was abnormal.

Possible Causes

In standard SSM mode, the Ethernet interface in the clock source list failed to receive ESMC packets within 5 seconds.

Procedure

Run the display clock config command on the peer device and check whether the clock synchronization function is enabled on the peer interface.
- If yes, go to Step 3.
- If no, go to Step 2.
Run the clock synchronization enable command on the peer interface and check whether the ESMC packet loss alarm is cleared on the local interface.
- If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 4.
- If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.
Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
