  4. DNS information is not configured in the DHCP Option field.
  5. The switch does not have the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address or URL information.
  6. The switch failed to obtain the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address.
  7. The switch failed to set up a TCP link with the iMaster NCE-Campus.
  8. The switch does not receive the registration result sent from the iMaster NCE-Campus.
  9. The iMaster NCE-Campus failed to perform certificate authentication.
  10. The switch failed ESN check on the iMaster NCE-Campus.
  11. The switch is not authorized.
  12. The switch type does not match the ESN rule.
  13. The switch failed to query its management mode with the registration center.
  14. Internal processing error: The iMaster NCE-Campus has not started, or iMaster NCE-Campus deployment scenario cannot be obtained.
  15. Basic device information cannot be obtained in the specified period or the device failed to return the information.
  16. The basic device information packet structure is invalid.
  17. Failed to allocate the iMaster NCE-Campus node.
  18. The switch does not report the device model.
  19. The device does not report its MAC address or the reported MAC address format is incorrect.
  20. When a stack member switch goes online, it cannot obtain information about the stack master switch.
  21. The stack status is inconsistent with that on iMaster NCE-Campus.

Controller address:[STRING]

Indicates the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address.

Possible Causes

See the reasons corresponding to error codes.

Procedure

  • Cause 1: The management VLAN interface is physically Down.

    • Check whether the link of the physical interface in the management VLAN is normal, for example, whether the network cable connected to the interface is loose.
    • Check whether the VLANIF interface of the management VLAN is shut down.
    • Check whether physical interfaces are added to the management VLAN.

  • Cause 3: The switch failed to obtain an IP address.

    1. Check whether there is a DHCP server that allocates management IP addresses on the network.
    2. If there is a DHCP server, check whether communication between the DHCP server and switch is normal.

  • Cause 4: DNS information is not configured in the DHCP Option field.

Check whether DNS information configuration on the DHCP server is correct.

  • Cause 5: The switch does not have the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address or URL information.

Check whether the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address or URL information configuration on the DHCP server is correct.

  • Cause 6: The switch failed to obtain the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address.

DNS resolution failed on the switch. Check whether DNS configuration on the network is correct.

  • Cause 7: The switch failed to set up a TCP link with the iMaster NCE-Campus.

    Possible Cause

    Procedure

The configured iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address and port number are incorrect.

    • When the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address and port number are obtained through the DHCP server:

Check whether the option 148 configuration is correct. The correct configuration format is: option 148 ascii agilemode=agile-cloud;agilemanage-mode=ip;agilemanage-domain=ip-address;agilemanage-port=port-number.

    • When the iMaster NCE-Campus's IP address and port number are configured using commands:

Run the display cloud-mng configuration command to check whether the IP address and port number are correct. If not, run the cloud-mng controller ip-address or cloud-mng controller url command to reconfigure them.

The device cannot communicate with the iMaster NCE-Campus.

Check the networking environment and routing configuration and ensure that there are reachable routes between the device and iMaster NCE-Campus.

    The certificate is incorrect.

    • No certificate is installed:

Run the display pki certificate command to check whether the certificate exists. If no certificate is available, restart the device to install the pre-configured temporary certificate or download the imported new certificate.

    • The certificate expires:

Run the display pki certificate command to check the certificate validity period, and run the display clock command to view the device time. If the device time is not within the certificate validity period, run the clock datetime command to change the device time or import a new certificate.

    • The certificate is invalid:

Run the pki validate-certificate command to verify the certificate. If the certificate is invalid, delete it and then restart the device to install the pre-configured temporary certificate or download the imported new certificate.

  • Cause 8: The switch does not receive the registration result from the iMaster NCE-Campus.

    1. Check whether communication between the DHCP server and switch is normal.
    2. If the communication is normal, check whether the iMaster NCE-Campus is running properly.

  • Cause 9: The iMaster NCE-Campus failed to perform certificate authentication.

Check whether the certificate is valid.

  • Cause 10: The switch failed ESN check on the iMaster NCE-Campus.

    1. Check whether the iMaster NCE-Campus has the switch's ESN imported.
    2. If it has the switch's ESN imported, check whether the imported ESN is correct.

  • Cause 11: The switch is not authorized.

Check whether the iMaster NCE-Campus has authorized the switch.

  • Cause 12: The switch type does not match the ESN rule.

    Contact technical support personnel.

  • Cause 13: The switch failed to query its management mode with the registration center.

    1. Check whether the network connection between the switch and registration center is established normally. For example, check whether the physical connection is normal, whether the DNS server exists and is configured correctly, and whether packet loss occurs.
    2. Check whether the ESN of the switch is imported into the iMaster NCE-Campus and synchronized to the registration center.

  • Cause 14 to Cause 20:

    Contact technical support personnel.

  • Cause 21: The stack status is inconsistent with that on iMaster NCE-Campus.

Check whether the switch standalone or stack status is consistent with the configuration of the iMaster NCE-Campus.
