Description

DHCP/4/DHCPUSERBINDTRAPBACKUP: OID [OID] DHCP snooping user-bind table failed to be recovered from remote server.

Failed to restore the DHCP snooping binding table from the remote server.

Impact on the System

The DHCP snooping function becomes unavailable.

Possible Causes

  • The link between the device and remote server is unreachable.
  • The remote server is not working properly.
  • The configuration is incorrect during the backup of DHCP snooping binding entries.

Procedure

  1. Perform a ping operation to check whether the link between the device and remote server is reachable.

    • If not, ensure that the network configurations, including IP addresses and routes, are correct.
    • If so, go to step 2.

  2. Check whether the remote server is working properly.

    • If not, ensure that the remote server is working properly.
    • If so, go to step 3.

  3. Check whether the configurations are correct, including the user name, password, and server IP address when the dhcp snooping user-bind load command is executed to back up DHCP snooping binding entries.

    • If not, run the dhcp snooping user-bind load command to configure correct parameters.
    • If so, go to step 4.

  4. Collect alarm and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
