ENTITYEXTTRAP/2/PKTERRORRISING: OID [oid] Input packets are discarded for an error in physical layer detection. (SlotID=[STRING], UnitID=[INTEGER], PortID=[STRING], PeerSlotID=[STRING], ErrorPacketStatistics=[STRING], ErrorPacketThreshold=[STRING], MonitorInterval=[STRING])

The total number of error packets on an HG channel or stack port exceeds the alarm threshold.

Parameters

Name Meaning

oid

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

SlotID

Indicates the slot ID.

UnitID

Indicates the chip ID.

NOTE:

The value is 0 or 1 for the HG channel or the value is 65535 (an invalid value) for a stack port.

PortID

Indicates the port number of the HG channel or stack port.

PeerSlotID

Indicates the slot ID of the remote card.

ErrorPacketStatistics

Indicates the total number of error packets.

ErrorPacketThreshold

Alarm threshold for error packets.

MonitorInterval

Indicates the detection interval.

Impact on the System

The HG channel or stack port cannot forward packets normally. During inter-card or inter-device traffic forwarding, packets are lost or cannot be forwarded.

Possible Causes

The device is faulty.

  1. Replace the device.
