Parameters

Name Meaning

OID

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

TestID

ID of a Y.1731 statistics instance

Type

Alarm type of Y.1731 statistics

Value

Y.1731 performance statistic value

UpperLimitThreshold

Upper threshold for alarm generation

LowerLimitThreshold

Lower threshold for alarm clearing

Impact on the System

Services will not be affected.

Possible Causes

The Y.1731 performance statistics function based on test instance IDs was enabled on the device to detect link performance, and an alarm upper threshold was configured. When the detected link performance statistics value exceeded the alarm upper threshold, the alarm was generated.

Procedure

  1. Check the Type field in the alarm information, and perform the following operations based on the value of the Type field:

    • If the value of the Type field is Two-way frame delay, a two-way frame delay alarm is detected. Go to Step 2.
    • If the value of the Type field is Two-way frame jitter, a two-way frame delay jitter alarm is detected. Go to Step 3.
    • If the value of the Type field is Far-end frame loss rate of single-ended-synthetic frame loss, an alarm for the far-end frame loss rate of single-ended synthetic frame loss was detected. Go to Step 4.
    • If the value of the Type field is Near-end frame loss rate of single-ended-synthetic frame loss, an alarm for the near-end frame loss rate of single-ended synthetic frame loss was detected. Go to Step 5.

  2. Check whether the value of upper-limit configured using the delay-measure two-way delay-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command is small according to service requirements.

    • If the value of upper-limit is small, run the delay-measure two-way delay-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to reconfigure an upper threshold. Go to Step 6.

    • If the value of upper-limit is not small, go to Step 7.

  3. Check whether the value of upper-limit configured using the delay-measure two-way variation-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command is small according to service requirements.

    • If the value of upper-limit is small, run the delay-measure two-way variation-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to reconfigure an upper threshold. Go to Step 6.

    • If the value of upper-limit is not small, go to Step 7.

  4. Check whether the value of upper-limit upper-limit configured using the loss-measure single-ended-synthetic remote-ratio-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command is small according to service requirements.

    • If the value of upper-limit is small, run the loss-measure single-ended-synthetic remote-ratio-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to reconfigure an upper threshold. Go to Step 6.

    • If the value of upper-limit is not small, go to Step 7.

  5. Check whether the value of upper-limit configured using the loss-measure single-ended-synthetic local-ratio-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command is small according to service requirements.

    • If the value of upper-limit is small, run the loss-measure single-ended-synthetic local-ratio-threshold test-id test-id upper-limit upper-limit lower-limit lower-limit command to reconfigure an upper threshold. Go to Step 6.

    • If the value of upper-limit is not small, go to Step 7.

  6. Run the display alarm active command in the system view to check whether the alarm is cleared. If the alarm persists, go to Step 7.
  7. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
