When the card is installed on the S6720-SI, the restrictions are as follows: The four 10GE SFP+ ports on the front panel cannot be used simultaneously with ports on the ES5D21Q02Q00 card. If the ES5D21Q02Q00 card is installed in the switch, only the ports on the front panel can be used by default.

1. Two 40GE QSFP+ optical ports |
40GE QSFP+ optical port
A 40GE QSFP+ optical port sends and receives service traffic at 40 Gbit/s and can be split into four 10GE ports. After a split, the 40GE QSFP+ optical port needs to be connected to a remote device using a 1-to-4 QSFP+ fiber (with matching optical modules), a 1-to-4 QSFP+ AOC cable, or a 1-to-4 QSFP+ copper cable. Table 5 lists the attributes of a 40GE QSFP+ optical port.
Both optical ports on the ES5D21Q02Q00 support only QSFP+ optical modules, QSFP+ AOC cables (10 m; QSFP+ to QSFP+ or QSFP+ to 4*SFP+), and QSFP+ copper cables (1 m, 3 m, and 5 m; QSFP+ to QSFP+ or QSFP+ to 4*SFP+).
