IFPDT/1/CRCRATIOEXCEED:OID [OID] The ratio of incoming CRC packets on the interface exceeds the threshold. (InterfaceIndex=[INTEGER], InterfaceName=[OCTET], Threshold=[OCTET], StatisticsInterval=[INTEGER], CRCPackets=[COUNTER64], TotalInPackets=[COUNTER64])

The percentage of received CRC packets on an interface against all the received packets exceeds the alarm threshold.

Possible Causes

After the stacking function is enabled on the switch, the rate of receiving CRC error packets by an interface equals or exceeds 1000 packets per second. The possible causes include:

Cause 1: The optical module fails.

Cause 2: The optical fiber fails.

Procedure

Replace the optical module, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.
