Description

IFPDT/3/SUBIFNUMOVERSPEC: OID [OID] The number of subinterfaces on the switch exceeds the limit, which may cause an exception on the switch. (SubIfSpec=[INTEGER])

The number of sub-interfaces on the switch exceeds the maximum value.

Parameters

Name Meaning

OID

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

SubIfSpec

Indicates the maximum number of sub-interfaces.

Impact on the System

An exception may occur on the switch.

Possible Causes

During configuration recovery, the system detects that the number of sub-interfaces on the switch exceeds the maximum value.

Procedure

  1. Run the undo interface interface-type interface-number command to delete unused sub-interfaces and check whether the trap is cleared.
    1. If the trap is cleared, go to step 3.
    2. If the trap is not cleared, go to step 2.
  2. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
  3. End.
