IGMP/6/IF_ENTRY:In VPN instance "[vpn-instance-name]", IGMP discarded the received report ([source-address], [group-address]) because the number of IGMP group memberships reached the limit on the interface [interface-name]. The current statistical number of IGMP group memberships is [statistical-number]. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

Description

The IGMP Report message received from the interface was discarded because the number of IGMP entries on the interface reached the upper limit.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[vpn-instance-name] Indicates the name of a VPN instance.
[source-address] Indicates the source address.
[group-address] Indicates the group address.
[interface-name] Indicates the interface name.
[statistical-number] Indicates the upper limit of the number of IGMP entries.
FlCode Indicates the name of the source code file and the line number of this log message.

Possible Causes

In the case that the current interface was configured with the IGMP limit, when the number of IGMP entries on the interface reached the limit, the received IGMP Report message was discarded.

Procedure

  1. If services are not affected, no action is required.
  2. If services are affected, run the igmp limit number command in the interface view to increase the maximum number of IGMP group memberships that the current interface can maintain.
  3. If increasing the maximum number is not allowed due to the processing capability limit of the system, Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
