Message

IGMP/6/INST_ENTRY:In VPN instance "[vpn-instance-name]", IGMP discarded the received report ([source-address], [group-address]) because the number of IGMP group memberships in this VPN instance reached the limit. The current statistical number of IGMP group memberships is [statistical-number]. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

Description

The received IGMP Report message was discarded because the number of IGMP entries in the instance reached the upper limit.

Possible Causes

In the case that the current instance was configured with the IGMP limit, when the number of IGMP entries in the instance reached the limit, the received IGMP Report message was discarded.

Procedure

If services are not affected, no action is required.
If services are affected, run the limit number command in the VPN instance IGMP view to increase the maximum number of IGMP entries that can be created in the VPN instance.
If increasing the maximum number is not allowed due to the processing capability limit of the system, Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
