L2IFPPI/3/TYPEMACCFGFAILED:NAC user authentication is successful but MAC address cannot be added. Traffic may be interrupted. (Type=[STRING], MAC=[STRING], VLAN/VSI=[ULONG], VLANVALID=[ULONG], ErrorCode=[ULONG], ErrorReason=[STRING])

Description

User login is successful but the authenticated MAC address fails to be added, the error code and cause are recorded.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
Type Type of the MAC address that fails to be added.
MAC MAC address that fails to be added.
VLAN/VSI VLAN ID or VSI of the MAC address that fails to be added in the MAC address table.
VLANVALID VLAN ID of the MAC address table. The value 1 indicates the VLAN bound to the MAC address that fails to be added, and the value 0 indicates the VSI bound to the MAC address that fails to be added.
ErrorCode Error code about the failure to add the MAC address.
ErrorReason Cause for a failure to add the MAC address.

Possible Causes

Hardware resources are insufficient or MAC address hash conflict occurs.

Procedure

  1. Delete MAC address entries of existing users or unused MAC address entries so that users go online again. Then check whether the authenticated MAC address is added successfully.
    • If so, go to step 3.
    • If not, go to step 2.
  2. Obtain the log file and configuration file, and contact technical support personnel.
  3. End.
