Description

MGMD/3/hwMgmdHostSGExceed:OID [oid] IGMP or MLD total (S, G) entries on the host side cannot be created because the limit is reached. (hwMgmdNotificationAddressType=[integer], hwMgmdHostNotificationSrcAddr=[binary], hwMgmdHostNotificationGroup=[], hwMgmdHostSGCurrentCount=[], hwMgmdInstanceName=[string])

The total number of (S, G) entries of all instances exceeded the maximum number allowed on the user-side IGMP/MLD device.

Impact on the System

New (S, G) entries cannot be created, because the total number of (S, G) entries of all instances has exceeded the maximum number allowed on the user-side IGMP/MLD device.

Possible Causes

The total number of (S, G) entries of all instances exceeded the maximum number allowed on the user-side IGMP/MLD device.

Procedure

  1. Confirm whether network expansion is required. If network expansion is required, contact technical support personnel.
  2. If the IGMP or MLD (S, G) entries of an address family and instance indicated in the alarm information are not needed, delete them to reduce the number of (S, G) entries.
  3. End.
