MSDP/4/SA_LIMIT:In VPN instance "[vpn-instance-name]", (S,G) entry whose RP was [rp-address] was ([source-address], [group-address]), it exceeded the peer ([peer-address])'s SA-cache maximum [maximum-number]. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

Description

The number of the (S, G) entries reached the upper limit of the peer SA cache.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[vpn-instance-name] Indicates the name of a VPN instance.
[rp-address] Indicates the IP address of the RP.
[source-address] Indicates the source address.
[group-address] Indicates the group address.
[peer-address] Indicates the IP address of the peer.
[maximum-number] Indicates the maximum number.
FlCode Indicates the name of the source code file and the line number of this log message.

Possible Causes

The number of the (S, G) entries reached the upper limit of the peer SA cache.

Procedure

  1. Run the peer peer-address sa-policy { import | export } [ acl advanced-acl-number ] command to configure the policy guiding the receiving and forwarding of SA messages.
  2. Run the peer peer-address sa-cache-maximum sa-limit command to adjust the maximum number of (S, G) entries that can be learned by the device cache from the specified MSDP peer.
