Message

NVO3/6/TUNNEL_STATUS_DOWN:Tunnel (source: [STRING] - peer: [STRING]) status change: from UP to DOWN.

Description

The VXLAN tunnel status changes from up to down.

Parameters

Parameter Name	Parameter Meaning
source	Specifies the IP address of the source VTEP.
peer	Specifies the IP address of the destination VTEP.

Possible Causes

If the source or destination IP address changes, the IP route between the source and destination becomes unreachable, leading to the tunnel status change.

Procedure

Run the display vxlan route-table command to view the status of the IP addresses.
Check whether networking changes cause the status changes of the IP addresses.
1. If the networking is incorrect, correct the networking.
2. If the networking is correct, go to step 3.
Check whether device configuration changes cause the status changes of the IP addresses.
1. If the device configuration is incorrect, correct the configuration.
2. If the device configuration is correct, go to step 4.
Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel. You can collect diagnostic information using the display diagnostic-information command.
