PIM/4/CHANGE_TO_NON_DR:In VPN instance "[vpn-instance-name]", interface [interface-name] ([interface-address]) is changed to Non-DR. New DR is [dr-address]. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

Description

A PIM interface changed from a DR to a non-DR.

Possible Causes

An interface functioning as a PIM DR received a PIM Hello message having a higher DR priority or received a PIM Hello message from an interface having a greater IP address. Then, the current interface changed to a non-DR interface.

Procedure

Check whether the interface needs to function as the DR interface.
If so, go to Step 2.

If not, go to Step 3.
Run the pim hello-option dr-priority priority command to a higher DR priority for the interface, or run the ip address ip-address command to set a greater IP address for the interface.
