PIM/6/GRP_ADDR_NOT_MCAST:In VPN instance [vpn-instance-name], because the group address [group-address]/[group-mask-length] is not a multicast address, the [message-type] message received from the interface [interface-name] was ignored. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

Description

The group address contained in a PIM message, which was not a multicast address, was ignored.

[interface-name]	Indicates the name of an interface.
FlCode	Indicates the name of the source code file and the line number of this log message.

Possible Causes

The PIM-SM-enabled interface receives a PIM message, the group address contained in which is not a multicast address.
