Message

PIM/5/GR_END:In VPN instance "[vpn-instance-name]", PIM left the GR status. The reason code was [reason-code]. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

Description

The VPN instance exited from the PIM GR state.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[vpn-instance-name] Indicates the name of a VPN instance.
[reason-code]
Indicates the reason code. The value can be:

  • 0: The parameter is invalid.

  • 1: The GR timer expires and the GR process is ended normally.

  • 2: Multicast is disabled to end GR.

  • 3: PIM SM is disabled to end GR.

  • 4: GR of the VPN instance is ended.

  • 5: The Force timer expires and the GR process is ended.

  • 6: GR is not enabled and is directly ended.

  • 7: Other components are terminated and thus GR is ended.
FlCode Indicates the name of the source code file and the line number of this log message.

Possible Causes

  1. The GR timer expires.

  2. The VPN instance that perform PIM GR is deleted.

  3. The interface board where the last PIM-SM interface resides is removed.

  4. The GR timer of the IPv4 public network expires. When the GR processes of the VPN instances that depend on the IPv4 public network are ended, the GR process of the IPv4 public network is ended.
