1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.195.40.22 Minor equipmentAlarm(5)

Parameters

Name Meaning
oid Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.
DevID Indicates the device ID.

Impact on the System

PDs may fail to be powered on because of insufficient PoE power.

Possible Causes

The RPS power is the hot backup power for PoE devices and provides full power for a maximum of two PoE switches. If there are more than two PoE switches, the remaining PoE switches generate an alarm, indicating that the RPS power cannot provide full PoE power.

Procedure

  1. Check whether a hot-swappable 4815 power module is installed in every power slot on the RPS.

    • If not, install a 4815 power module in every power slot.
    • If so, go to step 2.

  2. Check whether the PDs connected to the PoE device need to be powered on.

    • If so, connect these PDs to the PoE device that can provide power normally.
    • If not, the alarm handling ends.
