Message

QOSE/3/MIRR_FAIL:Failed to execute ([STRING1]) due to insufficient ACL resources in slot [STRING2].

Description

The mirroring to observe-port or mac-mirroring command fails to be executed due to insufficient ACL resources on the switch.

Parameters

Parameter Name	Parameter Meaning
STRING1	Command that fails to be executed and ID of the VLAN where the command fails to be executed.
STRING2	Slot ID of the switch.

Possible Causes

When the VLAN in the log is not created, the vlan vlan-id configuration command is executed to enter the VLAN view and VLAN or MAC mirroring is configured. When the VLAN is created, ACL resources on the switch are insufficient. As a result, the VLAN or MAC mirroring command fails to be executed.

Procedure

Run the display vlan command to check the created VLANs on the switch.

Here, only the information that users need to focus on is displayed. The display vlan command output depends on the switch.

Run the display this command in the VLAN view of each VLAN to check whether VLAN or MAC mirroring is configured.
- If so, go to step 3.
- If not, go to step 6.
Check whether VLAN or MAC mirroring is required in the corresponding VLAN.
- If so, go to step 6.
- If not, go to step 4.
Run the undo mirroring [ to observe-port observe-port-index ] inbound or undo mac-mirroring mac-address [ to observe-port observe-port-index ] inbound command in the VLAN view to delete the VLAN or MAC mirroring configuration.
Delete the VLAN in the log and re-create it. Check whether the log indicating that the VLAN or MAC mirroring command fails to be executed is generated.
- If so, go to step 6.
- If not, no action is required.
Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel. You can collect diagnostic information using the display diagnostic-information command.
