RDS/4/RDTEMPLATEDOWN: Communication with the RADIUS Server template (name: [STRING]) is interrupted!

Description

The RADIUS server template status becomes Down.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

[STRING]

Name of the RADIUS server template.

Possible Causes

When all the authentication servers in the RADIUS server template are interrupted, the template status becomes Down.

  • Links between the device and the RADIUS server are interrupted.
  • The device or RADIUS server modifies the shared key.
  • The RADIUS server is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Check whether communication between the device and the RADIUS server is interrupted.

    1. Ping the RADIUS authentication server on the device to check whether the links are proper.
    2. Check whether services between the device and the RADIUS server are proper using the test-aaa test.

  2. Run the display radius-server configuration command to check whether the shared key configured on the device is the same as that on the RADIUS server.
  3. If the problem persists, collect log and configuration information and contact technical support personnel.
