Description

RMON/4/ALARMFALL:OID [OID] Alarm table [alarm-table-index] monitors [sample-object-oid] with the sample type being [sample-type], and the sampled alarm value [alarm-value] is less than or equal to [falling-value].

The value of the alarm entity was lower than fallingthreshold.

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

alarm-table-index

Indicates the index of the alarm entry.

sample-object-oid

Indicates the OID of the sampled object.

sample-type

Indicates the type of the sampled alarm.

alarm-value

Indicates the alarm value.

falling-value

Indicates the lower threshold of the alarm.

Impact on the System

None.

Possible Causes

Cause 1:

If the current sampled value was less than or equal to this threshold, and the last sampled value was greater than this threshold, the alarm was generated.

Cause 2:

After this alarm entry became valid, when the first sampled value was less than or equal to this threshold, and the values of fallingAlarm, risingAlarm, and risingOrFallingAlarm were equal, the alarm was generated.

Procedure

  • This alarm is triggered only when the lower interface traffic monitoring threshold configured using the rmon alarm command is reached. It is a user-configured monitoring alarm and does not affect services. Therefore, no action is required.
