Description

SYSMIB/4/PAT_OVERTIME:OID [oid] The patch is active for 24 hours.

Indicates that the patch was activated for 24 hours by running the patch active command. The patch, however, was not in the running state by running the patch run command.

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

Impact on the System

The newly-loaded patches, after the restart of the system, cannot be validated after the next restart.

Possible Causes

Cause 1:

The patch was activated for 24 hours, but not set into the running state.

Cause 2:

The RPC was busy in communication or memory was insufficient.

Procedure

  1. Run the display patch-information command to check the patch status.
  2. Check whether the patch is in the running state.

    • If so, go to Step 6.

    • If not, go to Step 3.

  3. To determine whether to set the patch to the running state, check whether the patch needs to be validated in next restart.

    • If so, go to Step 4.

    • If not, go to Step 6.

  4. Check whether the patch status goes into the running state after running the patch run command.

    • If so, go to Step 6.

    • If not, go to Step 5.

  5. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.
