TRUNK/5/STATE_CHANGE: The working status of the Eth-Trunk in port-standby mode changed. (TrunkName=[STRING], Working port=[STRING], Status=[ULONG])

Description

The working status of an Eth-Trunk interface in inter-board interface standby mode was changed. For example, the interface for data forwarding was changed from the master member interface to the backup member interface.

Parameters

TrunkName	Indicates the name of an Eth-Trunk interface in inter-board interface standby mode
Working port	Indicates the active member interface.
Status	Indicates the working status of an Eth-Trunk interface in inter-board interface standby mode

Possible Causes

1. The master interface for data forwarding was Down, and data was forwarded by the backup interface.

2. The master interface for data forwarding was deleted from the Eth-Trunk interface in inter-board interface standby mode, and data was forwarded by the backup interface.

3. The backup interface for data forwarding was Down, and data was forwarded by the master interface.

4. The protect-switch command was run to manually switch the active and inactive interfaces.

Procedure

Cause 1:
Check whether the master interface was purposely shut down.
- If so, the log information is informational only, and no action is required.
- If not, check the reason why the master interface was Down and ensure that the master interface is physically Up.
  
  The reasons may be that the shutdown command was run on the local or remote interface or the master interface was faulty.
Cause 2:
Check whether the master interface was purposely deleted from the Eth-Trunk interface.
- If so, the log information is informational only, and no action is required.
- If not, run the eth-trunk trunk-id command on the master interface to add it to the Eth-Trunk.
Cause 3:
Check whether the backup interface was purposely shut down.
- If so, the log information is informational only, and no action is required.
- If not, check the reason why the master interface was Down and ensure that the backup interface is physically Up.
  
  The reasons may be that the shutdown command was run on the local or remote interface or the master interface was faulty.
Cause 4: This log message is informational only, and no action is required.
