Description

WLAN/4/VAP_REACH_MAX_USERS:OID [oid] VAP has the max number of stations notify.(APMAC=[OPAQUE], APName=[STRING], RADIOID=[INTEGER], WLANID=[INTEGER], FailCause=[INTEGER], PermitNum=[INTEGER], APID=[INTEGER])

No station (STA) can be associated with the VAP.

Parameters

Name Meaning
oid Indicates the ID of the MIB object.
APMAC Indicates the MAC address of an AP.
APName Indicates the AP name.
RADIOID Indicates the radio ID of the AP.
WLANID Indicates the WLAN ID reporting the alarm.
FailCause Indicates the cause for the STA authentication failure.
PermitNum Indicates the maximum number of STAs that can be associated with the AP.
APID Indicates the AP ID.

Impact on the System

New STAs cannot connect to the VAP.

Possible Causes

The number of STAs connected to the VAP has reached the upper limit. New STAs cannot connect to the VAP.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the maximum number of STAs allowed to connect to the SSID is proper.

    • If so, go to Step 3.
    • If not, go to Step 2.

  2. In the SSID profile, run the max-sta-number max-sta-number command to change the maximum number of STAs allowed to connect to the SSID to a proper value. Check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 3.
    • If not, go to Step 5.

  3. The VAP cannot provide WLAN services to STAs. Associate new STAs to another VAP. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 4.
    • If not, go to Step 5.

  4. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact the technical support personnel.
  5. End.
