Impact on the System

New users cannot join multicast groups.

Possible Causes

The multicast traffic of the VAP exceeds the maximum multicast bandwidth configured for the VAP.

Procedure

Run the display traffic-profile { all | name profile-name } command to check whether the maximum multicast bandwidth of a VAP is properly configured.
- If so, the actual multicast traffic is too large, and it is normal that users are prevented from joining multicast groups, and no action is required. Go to Step 5.
- If not, go to Step 2.
Run the igmp-snooping max-bandwidth max-bandwidth command to configure a large value for the maximum multicast bandwidth of a VAP.
Check whether the alarm persists.
- If so, go to Step 4.
- If not, go to Step 5.
Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
