Enabling ND Snooping

Context

Before configuring ND snooping, enable ND snooping.

Before enabling ND snooping on an interface, in a BD, or in a VLAN, enable ND snooping globally.

If ND snooping is enabled in the interface view, it takes effect on this interface. If ND snooping is enabled in the VLAN view, it takes effect on all the interfaces in the VLAN. If this function is enabled in the BD view, it takes effect on all interfaces in the BD.

If an interface is configured as an ND snooping trusted interface, ND snooping is automatically enabled on this interface, in the BD where the interface belongs, or in the VLAN where the interface belongs.

After ND snooping is enabled in the VLAN view, if you need to disable ND snooping on a specific interface in this VLAN, run the nd snooping disable command on this interface.

Procedure

In the interface view
1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.
2. Run nd snooping enable
  ND snooping is enabled globally.
  
  By default, ND snooping is disabled globally.
3. Run interface interface-type interface-number
  The interface view is displayed.
4. Run nd snooping enable
  ND snooping is enabled on the interface.
  
  By default, ND snooping is disabled on the interface.
In the interface view (DHCPv6 Only)
1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.
2. Run nd snooping enable
  ND snooping is enabled globally.
  
  By default, ND snooping is disabled globally.
3. Run interface interface-type interface-number
  The interface view is displayed.
4. Run nd snooping enable dhcpv6 only
  ND snooping is enabled on the interface.
  
  By default, ND snooping is disabled on an interface.
In the VLAN view
1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.
2. Run nd snooping enable
  ND snooping is enabled globally.
  
  By default, ND snooping is disabled globally.
3. Run vlan vlan-id
  The VLAN view is displayed.
4. Run nd snooping enable
  ND snooping is enabled on the VLAN.
  
  By default, ND snooping is disabled on the VLAN.
In the VLAN view (DHCPv6 Only)
1. Run system-view

  ND snooping is enabled globally.
