Modifying the BootLoad Password

Context

By default, the password for accessing the BootLoad main menu is Admin@huawei.com. You are advised to change the password to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the BootLoad.

Procedure

In the BootLoad main menu, select 5 to enter the password submenu (S5731-H, S5735-L, S5735S-L, S5735S-L-M, S5735-S, S5735-S-I, S5735S-S, S6730S-H,).

     1. Boot with default mode                                                  
     2. Enter startup submenu                                                   
     3. Enter ethernet submenu                                                  
     4. Enter filesystem submenu                                                
     5. Enter password submenu                                                  
     6. Clear password for console user                                         
     7. Reboot                                                                  
    (Press Ctrl+E to enter diag menu)

     1. Modify bootload password
     2. Reset bootload password
     3. Return to main menu

In the BootLoad main menu, select 5 to enter the password submenu (on other switch models).

In the password submenu, select 1 to enter the page for changing the BootLoad password.
