Configuring a Multicast Profile

Context

After configuring a multicast group list, you can reference it in a multicast profile. A multicast profile can reference a multicast group list with the preview or watch permission. If a referenced multicast group list has the preview permission, users can only preview the programs in the list for a specified number of times, and for a specified amount of time for each preview. If a referenced multicast group list has the watch permission, users can watch the programs in the list without restriction.

Default Settings

Table 1 lists the default settings of a multicast profile.

Procedure

Reference a multicast group list with the preview permission in a multicast profile.
1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.
2. Run btv
  The BTV view is displayed.
3. Run multicast-profile profile-name
  A multicast profile is created and the multicast profile view is displayed.
4. Run add multicast-list { name list-name | index start-index to end-index } preview
  A multicast group list with the preview permission is referenced in the multicast profile.
5. (Optional) Run max-program-num max-value
  The maximum number of multicast groups that users can simultaneously join is set.
6. (Optional) Run multicast-preview interval interval
  The interval at which a user can preview a multicast group is set.
7. (Optional) Run multicast-preview minutes minutes
  The period during which a user can preview a multicast group is set.
8. (Optional) Run multicast-preview times times
  The number of times a user can preview a multicast group every day is set.

1. Run system-view
  The system view is displayed.

3. Run multicast-profile profile-name
  A multicast profile is created and the multicast profile view is displayed.
