Displaying Electronic Labels
Context
Electronic labels identify hardware information about a device, including the serial number, manufacturing date, device model, and hardware description. You can check electronic labels to obtain SNs before returning hardware for repair or to obtain hardware information such as the hardware manufacturing date.
Procedure
- Run the display elabel [ slot slot-id [ subcard-id ] ] command to view the electronic labels of a device.
The electronic label version of devices delivered since V200R011 has been updated to version 4.0. This version adds the following fields compared to earlier versions:
- Model indicates the hardware external model of the device.
- ExInfo indicates the hardware extension information of the device. This field is not provided in electronic labels of optical modules.
- ElabelVersion indicates the version of the elabel.
