You can set a password for encrypting E-Trunk packets transmitted over an E-Trunk link to improve system security. The two member devices of an E-Trunk must use the same password.

The password for encrypting packets is configured.
If simple is specified, the password is saved in plain text in the configuration file. In this case, lower-level users can obtain the password by querying the configuration file, which poses a security risk. You are advised to specify cipher so that the password is saved in cipher text.
To ensure device security, change the password periodically.
