Licensing Requirements and Limitations for HSB

Other network elements are not required.

HSB is a basic feature of the device and is not under license control.

All models of S2720, S5700, and S6700 series switches support HSB.

HSB supports backup only between two devices and requires that the model and software version of the two devices be the same.
VRRP HSB supports only the active/standby mode but not the load balancing mode.
When configuring DHCPv6 relay on the active and standby devices, pay attention to the following points:
- Currently, only DHCPv6 prefix routing information can be backed up.
- The hsb-service-type dhcp hsb-group group-index command needs to be executed to bind DHCP services to an HSB group. Otherwise, DHCPv6 prefix routing information on the active and standby devices cannot be backed up.
- Services can be bound to an HSB group only before the HSB group is enabled.
