Temperature of a device increases as the ambient temperature rises and the device has been running for a longer time. When device temperature exceeds the specified range, the device service life and performance are reduced. To prevent the device from overheating, set temperature alarm thresholds on the device. When device temperature is beyond the specified range, the device reports an alarm to the NMS. Then the administrator can take measures to lower or increase the temperature.
Device temperature is displayed.
The system view is displayed.
The upper and lower temperature alarm thresholds are configured.
By default, the lower temperature threshold is -40°C on the S5720I-SI and S5735-S-I, and -3°C on the S5735-L, S5735S-L, S5735S-L-M, S5735-S, and S5735S-S, and 0°C on other switch models, and the upper temperature threshold varies according to hardware of various models, ranging from 44°C to 88°C.
