Enabling the Service Loopback Function on an Eth-Trunk

Context

Before enabling the service loopback function on an Eth-Trunk, note that only one interface enabled with the service loopback function is needed on a device. The interface must be idle and not transmitting services.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface eth-trunk trunk-id

The Eth-Trunk interface view is displayed.

  3. Run service type tunnel

The Eth-Trunk is enabled with the service loopback function.

You cannot configure both the service type tunnel command and the URPF function on the same Eth-Trunk.

On an Eth-Trunk enabled with the service loopback function, the STP function is automatically disabled. After the service loopback function is disabled on the Eth-Trunk, the STP function is automatically enabled.

  4. Run quit

    Return to the system view.

  5. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface view is displayed.

  6. Run eth-trunk trunk-id

The interface is added to the Eth-Trunk.

Verifying the Configuration

Run the display this include-default command in Eth-Trunk interface view to check whether the Eth-Trunk interface is enabled with the service loopback function.
