A multicast group policy determines which multicast groups the user hosts in a VLAN can join, and applies only to dynamic multicast groups. Before configuring a multicast group policy, create an access control list (ACL) and define rules. For details about ACL configuration, see ACL Configuration in the S2720, S5700, and S6700 V200R019C10 Configuration Guide - Security.
The system view is displayed.
Run the vlan vlan-id command to enter the VLAN view.
Run the mld-snooping group-policy acl6-number [ version mld-version ] command to configure a multicast group policy in the VLAN. This prevents user hosts in the VLAN from joining specified multicast groups.
Run the interface interface-type interface-number command to enter the interface view.
Run the mld-snooping group-policy acl6-number vlan vlan-id [ version mld-version ] command to configure a multicast group policy on the interface. This prevents user hosts in the specified VLAN from joining specified multicast groups.
By default, user hosts in a VLAN can join any multicast groups. If the MLD version is not specified for a multicast group policy, the switch applies the policy to all the received MLD packets regardless of version.
If you configure multicast group policies for the same VLAN in the interface view and VLAN view, the system first uses the policy configured in the interface view and then the policy configured in the VLAN view to determine the groups that user hosts can join.
