Incorrect Status of a Monitor Link Group

Procedure

1. Check the status of member interfaces in the Monitor Link group.

   Run the display monitor-link group group-id command and check the State field in the command output.

   • If the State field of a member interface is DOWN, rectify the interface Down failure.
     

     An uplink interface Down event may be caused by a link failure, a unidirectional OAM connectivity failure, or an OAM connection setup failure. If the uplink interface is a Smart Link group, the uplink interface is considered faulty only if neither member interface is Active when the Smart Link group is enabled or if both the member interfaces are Down when the Smart Link group is disabled.

   • If the State field displays UP, go to step 2.
2. Check whether member interfaces of the Monitor Link group have been added to the service VLAN.

   Run the display current-configuration interface interface-type interface-number command in each member interface view.

   • If an interface has not been added to the service VLAN, add the interface to the service VLAN.
