Preparing for the Upgrade

Procedure

• Check the available space of the root directory.

  Before upgrading the SA-SDB, check whether the available space of the root directory is sufficient for the upgrade, which requires at least 25 MB space.

  1. Run the dir [ /all ] [ filename | directory | /all-filesystems ] command to check the available space of the root directory.
  2. If the available space is insufficient, run the delete /unreserved [ /quiet ] { filename | devicename } [ all ] command to delete unnecessary files or run the reset recycle-bin [ filename | devicename ] command to clear unnecessary files in the recycle bin.
• Run the display update status command to check the upgrade status of the SA-SDB.

  Ensure that the SA-SDB to be upgraded is in idle state. Otherwise, the SA-SDB upgrade will fail.

• Run the display version sa-sdb command to check version information about the SA-SDB to be upgraded and determine whether the upgrade is needed.
