Local Upgrade

Context

When the switch is physically isolated from the Internet and no proxy server is deployed on the enterprise intranet, you can update the SA-SDB locally. Before performing local upgrade, obtain the SA-SDB upgrade file and upload or download the upgrade file to the switch using SFTP, FTP, or TFTP.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the upgrade file.
    1. Log in to Huawei security center sec.huawei.com and choose Signature Upgrade > Signature Upgrade.
    2. Select Product Type, Product Series, Product Name, and Product Version.
    3. Click the tab corresponding to the SA-SDB to be upgraded and select Service Awareness.
    4. Click the download icon to download the SA-SDB file.
  2. Upload or download the upgrade file to the switch.

    You are advised to store the upgrade file in the root directory of the storage device.

    The upgrade file is in .zip and can be directly uploaded to the switch without the need of decompressing it.

  3. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  4. Run update local sa-sdb file filename

    The local SA-SDB is manually upgraded.
