Enabling the OLC Function

Context

To control the monitored protocol packets and tasks in time in case of CPU overload, the OLC function is enabled globally by default. You can enable the OLC function for a specified protocol or task. In addition, the OLC alarm function is enabled by default. When the CPU usage reaches the OLC start threshold or falls below the OLC stop threshold, an alarm is generated.

Procedure

  • Enable the OLC function.
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run undo cpu-overload-control disable slot slot-id

      The OLC function is enabled.

      By default, the OLC function is enabled.

    3. (Optional) Run undo cpu-overload-control packet-type packet-type &<1-20> disable slot slot-id

      The OLC function is enabled for a specified protocol.

      By default, the OLC function is enabled for all monitored protocols.

    4. (Optional) Run cpu-overload-control task task-name &<1-2> enable slot slot-id

      The OLC function is enabled for a specified task.

      By default, the OLC function is disabled for all monitored tasks.

    The OLC function configured for a protocol or task takes effect only after the OLC function is enabled.

  • (Optional) Enable the OLC alarm function.
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run undo cpu-overload-control alarm disable

      The OLC alarm function is enabled.

      By default, the OLC alarm function is enabled.
