Configuring BFD for OSPFv3
Applicable Environment
To speed up OSPFv3 convergence when link status changes, configure BFD for OSPFv3 links.
BFD detects links much faster than keepalive protocols do. If OSPFv3 is bound to BFD sessions, BFD can notify OSPFv3 of link failures immediately. OSPFv3 then performs route calculation and convergence based on the new network topology.
