(Optional) Configuring an SSM Group Policy

Context

By default, the address range of SSM groups is FF3x::/32 (x cannot be 1 or 2). You can configure an SSM group policy to control the SSM group address range for the following purposes:

Limiting the SSM group address range to ensure the security of multicast networks
Expanding the SSM group address range if the addresses in the default range are insufficient

Procedure

Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run pim-ipv6
The PIM-IPv6 view is displayed.
Run ssm-policy basic-acl6-number
The SSM group address range is configured.

Ensure that the SSM group address range of all devices in the network are the same.
