Licensing Requirements

Smart upgrade is a basic function of switches and is not under license control.

All models of S2720, S5700, and S6700 series switches support Smart Upgrade.

Feature Limitations

• Switches cannot be added to or removed from a stack during smart upgrade.
• An active/standby switchover cannot be performed during smart upgrade.
• Do not perform any format operation while the system software package or patch file is being used during smart upgrade.
