Monitoring STP/RSTP Topology Change Statistics

Context

The statistics about STP/RSTP topology changes can be viewed. If the statistics increase, network flapping occurs.

Procedure

  • Run the display stp topology-change command to check statistics about STP/RSTP topology changes.
  • Run the display stp [ interface interface-type interface-number | slot slot-id ] tc-bpdu statistics command to check statistics about sent and received TC/TCN packets.
  • Run the display stp [ interface interface-type interface-number | slot slot-id ] [ brief ] command to check the spanning tree status and statistics.
