If you want to collect the packet statistics for a specified time on a VLANIF interface, you must first clear existing packet statistics on the VLANIF interface.
The cleared statistics cannot be restored. Exercise caution when you run the reset command.
Procedure
Run the reset counters interface [ interface-type [ interface-number ] ] command to clear the packet statistics on the specified VLANIF interface.
