Monitoring the VRRP Running Status

Context

During routine maintenance, you can run the following commands to check VRRP Advertisement packet statistics and monitor the VRRP running status.

Procedure

  • Run the display vrrp [ interface interface-type interface-number ] [ virtual-router-id ] statistics command in any view to check statistics about sent and received packets of a VRRP group.
  • Run the display vrrp6 [ interface interface-type interface-number ] [ vrid virtual-router-id ] statistics command in any view to check statistics about sent and received packets of a VRRP6 group.
