Licensing Requirements

Intelligent video O&M is a basic feature of a switch and is not under license control.

• Audio and video statistics: obtained through eMDI deployed on switches
• IP addresses, MAC addresses, access interfaces, and other information of connected terminals: obtained through ARP snooping deployed on access switches

All switch models that support intelligent video O&M can send the preceding information to CampusInsight. To view the information on CampusInsight, you must purchase and install a license of the CampusInsight Intelligent Network Analysis Advanced Package. The following switch models can also send the information to eSight:

• S5720I-SI that runs V200R013C00 and has a purchased intelligent video O&M license installed.
• S5720I-SI, S5735-S-I, and S5735S-L-M that run V200R019C00 and have a purchased intelligent video O&M license installed.
• All switch models that run V200R019C10 or a later version and support intelligent video O&M. In addition, the S5735S-S24T4X-A, S5735S-S48T4X-A, S5735S-S24P4X-A, S5735S-S48P4X-A, S5735S-L48T4S-MA, S5720I-SI, S5735-S-I, and S5735S-L-M must have a purchased intelligent video O&M license installed. Other switch models do not require such a license.

Feature Support in V200R019C10

All models of S2720, S5700, and S6700 series switches support intelligent video O&M.

Feature Limitations

• Intelligent O&M for audio and video services can be deployed only on access switches.
• Intelligent O&M for audio and video services takes effect only for unencrypted SIP packets without any tunnel header in IPv4 scenarios.
• After configuring a switch to report KPI information about audio or video traffic using the collect-item media-quality enable command, you must enable the eMDI function to allow CampusInsight to analyze and monitor the reported information. Each eMDI instance monitors one target flow. Therefore, monitoring a SIP session requires two eMDI instances. You can run the display emdi command to check the number of eMDI instances supported by the switch.
• The supported voice applications include eSpace (installed on physical machines), Huawei IP phones, Cisco IP phones, and Yealink IP phones. The supported video applications include Huawei videoconferencing, Polycom videoconferencing, and Cisco videoconferencing.
