- Any models of the S6700-EI series can set up a stack. The 10GE ports do not support the stacking function when they work as GE ports.
- A switch supports a maximum of two logical stack ports, and each logical stack port supports a maximum of eight stack member ports. A switch supports a maximum of eight stack member ports.
- On an S6700-EI switch, a maximum of eight service ports can be configured as stack member ports. Four service ports with contiguous IDs must be configured together, and the last ID of the service ports must be a multiple of 4. For example, ports 1 to 4, or 5 to 8 can be configured as stack member ports together, but ports 2 to 5 cannot. When one of the four service ports is configured as a stack member port, the other three service ports are automatically configured as stack member ports.
