PWE3 is a basic feature of a switch and is not under license control.
Only the following switch models support PWE3:
S5720-EI, S5720-HI, S5730-HI, S5731-H, S5731S-H, S5732-H, S6720-EI, S6720-HI, S6720S-EI, S6730S-H, and S6730-H
For details about software mappings, visit Hardware Query Tool and search for the desired product model.
Do not add the PW to VLAN 1. If the PW is added to VLAN 1, the AC-side interface joins VLAN 1 in untagged mode and VLAN tags of packets are removed.
By default, link type negotiation is enabled globally on the device. If a VLANIF interface is used as an AC-side interface for PWE3, the configuration conflicts with link type negotiation. In this case, run the lnp disable command in the system view to disable link type negotiation.
If the PW-side routing interface is a Layer 3 interface switched by the undo portswitch command, the AC-side interface cannot be a Layer 3 routing interface or its sub-interface belonging to a Layer 3 interface; otherwise, traffic fails to be forwarded. This rule applies to S5710-EI, S5720-EI, S6720-EI, and S6720S-EI.
