Feature Limitations

• SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c lack of authentication capabilities, resulting in vulnerability to security threats. When security is a concern, SNMPv3 is recommended.
• If an NMS frequently accesses a switch or multiple NMSs access a switch simultaneously, the CPU usage of the switch may increase, causing the switch to respond to the NMS slowly. In this case, you can decrease the NMS access frequency to ensure that the switch can respond to SNMP packets sent by the NMS promptly.
