The port nvo3 mode access command specifies an interface as a VXLAN access-side interface, so that common IP packets that carry VXLAN packets and have the destination UDP port number 4789 can be forwarded to the VXLAN network.
The undo port nvo3 mode access command restores the default setting.
By default, when an interface is not specified as a VXLAN access-side interface, the interface cannot forward common IP packets that carry VXLAN packets and have the destination UDP port number 4789 to the VXLAN network.
Only the S6720-EI and S6720S-EI switches support this command.
Usage Scenario
By default, the interface of S6720-EI or S6720S-EI cannot perform VXLAN encapsulation for common IP packets that carry VXLAN packets and have the destination UDP port number 4789. In a scenario where such common IP packets need to be forwarded to the VXLAN network, you can run the port nvo3 mode access command to specify the interface as a VXLAN access-side interface, so that the interface can perform VXLAN encapsulation for such packets.
Precautions
After the port nvo3 mode access command is configured on an interface, the interface cannot perform VXLAN decapsulation for received VXLAN-encapsulated packets. Therefore, this command can only be used on access-side interfaces.
